Telephones

In most cases, you will be provided with a telephone to assist with your work at the university.

Monash University extension numbers are five digits in length and can be dialed directly from any internal phone at no cost. External dialing is enabled on a per phone basis and requires '0' to be dialed before the number.

Each school/area in the university has a designated Phone Delegate. The phone delegate is the only person in each area that is authorised to:

• request new telephone services
• request moving or cancelling existing telephone services
• request a change in dialing access
• request a change in the staff telephone directory
