Chemical Science for Level 1 - 2
These lesson plans were developed by Grade 1 teachers at St. Bridget’s Primary School in Greythorn VIC working with a third year Chemistry Student from Monash University.
St. Bridget's Primary School feedback
At St. Bridgets PS, Mark (3rd year Chemistry) taught Grade 1 students about Chemistry. Mark explained the science of chemistry and involved the students with a number of hands on activities.
Here's what the teacher, Suzie had to say about the placement: "I feel more able to teach chemical science to students. I also feel my knowledge has increased. The children loved Mark coming to school to teach them. They called him a “scientist” and were very enthusiastic about all that he taught them. Parents have commented on how much the children enjoyed their science lessons."
