How Things Work for Level 1-2
These lesson plans are a combination of lessons developed by teachers at Christ Church Grammar School in South Yarra VIC and Clayton Nth Primary School VIC. The teachers were working on an overview of the science behind how things work with third year physics, chemistry and environmental science students from Monash University.
Christ Church GS feedback
At Christ Church GS, Andrea (3rd year Physics) taught Grade 2 students about electricity and working with simple circuits, power sources, conductors, switches etc.
The lessons were very ‘hands on’ with Andrea explaining the concept and activities to be explored; followed by the students working in groups and putting the concept into practice with the activities.
