ARC Federation Fellowship 2007 Outcomes
It is my great pleasure to announce that Professor Doug MacFarlane has just been awarded a prestigious ARC Federation Fellowship. He is one of only two new ARC Federation Fellowships awarded to the University in this round, the other being Professor Bernadette McSherry from the Faculty of Law. Professor MacFarlane is an international expert in ionic materials and cryobiology and is Program Leader in the ARC Centre of Excellence for Electromaterials Science. In recognition of the international standing of his research, Professor Macfarlane was recently elected a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science. Professor MacFarlane joins Professor Alan Bond (School of Chemistry) and Professor John Bowman (School of Biological Sciences) as Federation Fellows within the Faculty of Science. On behalf of the Faculty of Science, I would like the congratulate Doug on this outstanding achievement.
