Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (OHSE)The university strives to provide a safe and healthy environment for its employees, students, and visitors at all of its campuses and premises. There is a general legal responsibility to this effect under common law and there are also specific requirements placed on the university under various acts and regulations of statutory law. Please note that your school will have specific OHSE policies and guidelines in relation to such areas as laboratory work and field trips, and that it is your responsibility to adhere to these requirements. You should contact the OHSE officer in your school if you have any doubts about these requirements.
