Deferment

The university’s policy is to allow a one-year deferment of study for all new undergraduate students.

For applicants intending to study elsewhere during this time, deferment may not be granted.

Applicants wishing to defer must complete a deferment application form and attend enrolment according to the details specified in the letter of offer or apply in writing to the Faculty of Science prior to the conclusion of the enrolment time nominated in the letter of offer.

Applicants who wish to defer but who do not contact the faculty may risk losing their offer of a university place.
