Professional Recognition

Depending on the major area of study undertaken in their degree, Monash Science graduates are eligible for membership with a number of professional bodies or societies.

  • Accreditation by the Australian Psychological Society, recognised by the Singapore Psychological Society and approved by the Psychologists Registration Board of Victoria [Monash psychology program]

The Australian Psychological Society offers varying grades of membership and there are specific requirements to qualify for each grade. Requirements are generally based on an applicant’s level of professional education in psychology.

Committed to advancing psychology as a discipline and profession, the Australian Psychological Society is the largest professional association for psychologists in Australia.

The Royal Australian Chemical Institute is both the qualifying body in Australia for professional chemists and a learned society promoting the science and practice of chemistry in all its branches.

  • Graduate membership of the Australian Institute of Physics [students who complete an approved major in physics, plus required units in mathematics are eligible]

The Australian Institute of Physics exists to promote all aspects of physics to the wider community as well as providing support to physicists.
