Where to go for course advice and career planning

For advice on administrative aspects of your course including:

  • general questions about your course requirements,
  • enrolment matters,
  • special consideration,
  • advance standing (credit for previous studies),
  • internal course transfer (changing degrees within Monash),
  • overloading,
  • academic progress,
  • taking intermission (taking a temporary break from your studies).

The Faculty of Science Student Services staff can help you with all such matters. If you are doing a double degree, you may be referred to the partner Faculty for further information.

For advice on academic matters related to your course and career planning including:

  • major and minor sequences
  • prerequisites
  • preparation for Honours
  • information about particular units
  • career planing

The teaching staff in the schools responsible for the discipline are in the best position to help you with these matters. Schools usually have coordinators and/or advisers for different discipline areas and year-levels.
