Science Honours ProgramThe prestigious Honours program is a fourth year of study, comprising a mix of advanced theory, professional training for a scientific career and a project leading to a thesis. Your supervisor provides individual guidance and one-on-one academic mentoring. An Honours degree gives students enhanced employment opportunities. Employers appreciate the Honours degree as a guarantee of additional skills, knowledge and achievement. Most importantly, Honours gives you the first big chance to 'stretch your legs' on your very own project. Many students remember Honours as one of the most challenging and rewarding years at University. As the Honours programs prepare you for higher degrees (coursework and research masters, or the PhD), consolidate your communication and research skills, hone your project-management and problem-solving ability, you will inevitably stand out from the crowd as a future leader in your field. Schools of science at Clayton, Gippsland and Sunway campuses cater for a broad range of interests for individual students at this level. Applications should be made directly to the faculty office of the campus where you are planning to complete your Honours degree. Application deadlines will be strictly observed.
