Strategic research
The Strategies of the Water Studies Centre are:
- to establish a well-balanced and dedicated scientific team to effectively study the biogeochemistry and ecology of Australian aquatic systems
- to develop new instrumentation for water quality and environmental analysis based on flow injection analysis and field flow fractionation
- to establish a nationally recognised competence in ecological risk assessment research and application
- to achieve substantial research funding each year, with the aim of becoming a leading research facility in Australia
